Although winter seems like it’s here to stay, I promise that spring weather is right around the corner. With the weather warming up, it’s time to think about changing out our ankle length parkas for brighter colors and lighter fabrics. I’ve rounded up the top five trends for Spring 2018 that you can add to your wardrobe ASAP!

Move over florals, stripes are the new pattern to watch out for this spring. Whether vertical or horizontal, thick or pinstripe, there are no rules so go with a garment that fits your body properly. If you aren’t ready to commit to so much pattern, try breaking up an all stripe look with a solid colored top or bottom. If you are adventurous, try mixing your stripes with other colors or even other patterns!

Nothing says warmer weather quite like sheer, lightweight-fabrics. Although it’s hard to believe it will warm up enough to wear them, where there’s a will there’s a way. Try layering a sheer blouse with a tank or turtleneck underneath. By matching this with a full-length pant, you can still wear this trend until it’s time to swap your booties for sandals.

Oh denim! Perhaps the most versatile piece in our closets. Spring 2018 is about stepping up your denim game and taking some chances. As much as we love our dark wash skinny jeans for, well everything, it’s time to show some personality with a cool statement denim. Whether this is a great new pair of cropped flare jeans or a statement making denim jacket, take risks and don’t be worried about stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Fringe isn’t just for country inspired ensembles. From bags to dresses to jackets, fringe is a trend you can do in just about any way you feel comfortable. Think fringe dress to that May wedding you have coming up. Or if you're a bit more daring, look for a fringed jacket in suede or leather that can add interest to an otherwise simple look.

It’s officially time to start moving away from our favorite neutral sweaters and opt for a punch of color. Whether you want to add a statement colorful piece like a blazer to your wardrobe or look for a full pantone ultra violet colored suit, there are so many different ways you can wear this trend. Nothing will pull you out of that winter drab faster than incorporating some bold and bright colors into your new spring closet!!
